The late afternoon got pretty exciting. There was a herd of elk at the campground and it is rut season. The bull elk was trying to keep every living thing away from his females. The rangers warned the bulls are very dangerous during rut season. Once the bull elk came running toward some of the campers when some of the female elk came close. The other campers (and us) had to get moving quickly to get out of the way of the charging elk. No one was hurt, thank goodness. Several park rangers showed up and tried to isolate the campers from the elk. They said the bull elk sort of go crazy during rut season.
Thanks to the ones that have left comments. I sure do appreciate hearing from you.

A young bull trying to take some of the older bull's females. The older bull charged at him several times. The young bull was always able to get away without being hurt.
